The Gospel of John
![]() |
| "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God." John 1:1 The written Gospels in our New Testament did not come into being until a generation or two after the lifetime of Jesus with the Gospel of John written last. Using language and image that differs substantially from the Synoptic Gospels the fourth Gospel - the Gospel of John, addresses an alienated anti-society, fundamentally at odds with the predominant culture of its day. In this four-week class, new testament scholar Dr. Richard Rohrbaugh will examine John through a social/cultural lense and help us understand this unusual Gospel in a new and inspiring way. This is Dr. Rohrbaugh's third class at The Center, early registration is recommended for this popular teacher.
