Awakening the Heart Retreat
with the Rev. Canon Marianne Wells Borg,
Khadim Chishti & Jack Kennedy

February 15 - 17, 2008
At the Alton Collins Retreat Center

Register by January 25 for best rates.

This retreat will introduce simple contemplative practices from the Christian and Sufi tradition, combine brief presentations and time for reflection, encourage and allow for periods of silence. Silence is not the purpose of this retreat but rather the vehicle for paying attention to God, to see and hear more clearly the created world around us, and to see and hear ourselves and each other on deeper levels. No prior retreat experience necessary, only a willingness to set this time aside for God in a beautiful setting with other intentional participants. Bring comfortable clothes, layer for warmth and comfort. Please advise us of any dietary needs. Bring paper and pen for reflection.

All denominations and faith traditions welcome. Facilitators will draw from their respective traditions.

The retreat cost includes accommodations at the Alton Collins Retreat Center and all meals.

Come be refreshed and renewed,
and awaken your heart.
